Ridership Change

PS Fixed Route

PS Fixed Route August 2022 saw a 56% increase over August 2021 as well as a 24% increase over August 2019.
Record keeping for this route has not differentiated in the past between whether a rider was riding from uptown to downtown, only the amount of the fare box for the month was recorded. Reimbursement is being requested at the minimum per person of $1 per ride for riders 59 and under.
For the summer of 2023 ridership will be tracked by fare amount and location to accurately determine which riders are traveling uptown to downtown and which riders are remaining within the uptown or downtown areas.
Using Fare Free 2022 ridership for August 2022 that we would see a 56% increase for June, July, and August 2023.
