Prowers Area Transit
August 2022 showed Prowers Area Transit and Prairie Dog Express having a total of 2,298 riders. 2019-We had in August; 1,925, 2020-We had in August;894. 2021-We had 1,365. That brings us an increase of 373 riders from 2019. Brings us an increase of 1,404 from 2020 and an increase of 933 from 2021. With approximately a 57% increase from 2021. Prairie Dog Express started in the month of August and saw some riders but with the increase knowledge of the fixed route ridership slowly began to rise. We do not have a breakdown of the fixed route ridership but over the month of August, September and up to this date (10-24-2022) ridership is still rising on the fixed route. On the Demand Response side, total ridership went down to 1,410 for the month of September, but that can be explained. We were down on driver for the month due to medical reasons; we are expecting to see a slight rise in October and a bigger rise in November with that driver back.
