Discipline

Employees of the City are “At Will” and have no express or implied contract with  the City, or any property interest, for continued employment or for any other matter.

  1. SST Management will utilize the Operation Service Report (OSR) to document incidents that require disciplinary action or comments of praise for a job well done.
  2. Employees must at all times comply with the City’s expectations for work, performance, and conduct. Failure to do so may result in any or all of the following actions, as the City deems appropriate: Termination, suspension, demotion, written warning, reprimand, counseling, or other disciplinary action.
  3. Management will decide in its judgment which of these actions would most effectively take care of the problem.
  4. All Steamboat Springs Transit employees are required to read and understand the city employee handbook.  Please refer to Chapter 7.21, Discipline, of the city employee handbook.
