Hello Transit Experts,

I hope all is well! We are looking for feedback and thoughts regarding Commercial Auto Insurance:

Which insurance carrier does your agency use for commercial auto insurance/bus or vehicle insurance? We have an Insurance Broker that helps insure Transit Agencies in Colorado struggling to find commercial auto coverage for any agency and is hoping for suggestions!

Please respond directly to me at [email protected] and I will be directing information to the inquirer.

“Howdy Ivy- Summit County Government is self-insured and uses CTSI as our third party administrator for all claims.”

Dan Blankenship, RFTA

“Arthur J. Gallagher is our Insurance Broker.  Karen Graham is our Agent ([email protected] ).  We are insured by One Beacon.”

Joyce Rihanek, Town of Vail

“Town of Vail uses CIRSA”

Sherry Ellebracht, RTD

“Because we are a political subdivision of the State, we are subject to the Colorado Governmental Immunity Act.   This Act limits our exposures arising from the operations of our vehicles to $387,000 per person/$1,093,000 per occurrence.   RTD has chosen to self-insure that exposure.

If we are required to carry general liability insurance as a condition of a contract, our current carriers as The Insurance Company of the State of PA  (aka AIG) and Great American Ins. Co. of New York.”
