Elaine Sheridan
Senior Public Communications Specialist – Mountain Metropolitan Transit
I’m the Senior Public Communications Specialist for Mountain Metropolitan Transit with the City of Colorado Springs, which basically means I get to talk about buses all day… and somehow, I genuinely love it. I’m lucky to work with an incredible team of people who care deeply about this city, and my mission is to help everyone realize that transit isn’t just a convenience. It’s the unsung hero quietly keeping Colorado Springs, and every city, running. I feel incredibly fortunate to have built a career centered around stories that matter, first in news, and now in public service. Different industries, different challenges, but the same belief guides me: good communication can make a real difference. And if I can help someone feel seen, heard, or simply get where they need to go, that’s a pretty great way to spend a career… even if it does involve evangelizing about buses with the enthusiasm of someone who’s had just a little too much coffee.

Lisa Casey
Operations Specialist – Core Transit
As a transplant from Northern California, I’ve been in Colorado for 45 years and consider this to be my home. I’ve raised my 6 children in the Denver area and they all feel the same, you just can’t get Colorado out of your blood. I was in the medical field for many years and then had an opportunity to join the transportation industry, I hesitated at first, but once I made the leap it was a fun and exciting new adventure. I retired once but found myself missing the fun and excitement of transit operations. I found it to be one of the greatest jobs and very rewarding. Working in our community you get to meet so many people and see many of the same familiar faces, it’s what makes this community so great.
