2024 Updates
- Since 2023, Instructors are no longer required to teach one CASTA Defensive Driving Course each year to maintain their certification.
- Instructors will be required to attend a 1 – 2 hr CASTA Defensive Driving Recertification session to be held at the Spring Conference and/or Fall Conference each year. Anyone attending this session may have their recertification fee waved.
- All rosters for courses that you have completed must be submitted using the Submit a course roster form.
- To order Defensive Driving Program Course Materials and Renew Instructor Certification go to CASTA Defensive Driving Program Order Form.
- MVDDC First Edition manuals include a section on Roundabouts. CASTA plans to include the Roundabout section in the next edition of the DDTOC manuals.
- The Roundabout section insert can be found and printed from the Instructor Resource file.

- Reminder that if you are certified to instruct DDTOC, you are certified to instruct MVDDC, and visa versa

2023 Updates – Superseded
Instructors are no longer required to teach one CASTA Defensive Driving Course each year to maintain their certification. Instead, Instructors will be required to attend an hour-long CASTA Defensive Driving Program Webinar each year. This year’s webinar was held on March 9th, 2023 at 12:00 PM MST

CASTA has created the CASTA Defensive Driving Program Order Form. You can use this form to renew instructor certification and order manuals. Instructors will receive an reminders email 30 days prior to their certification expiration date to renew their instructor certification.
MVDDC First Edition Instructor and Operator manuals are now available for purchase on the form.
MVDDC First Edition manuals include a section on Roundabouts. CASTA plans to include the Roundabout section in the next edition of the DDTOC manuals.
