Get Ready to Hop on Board!
The Zero Fare Transit Fund allows eligible transit agencies in Colorado to apply through CASTA for one of two Zero Fare grant programs: an Ozone Season Transit Grant or a Youth Ride Free Transit Grant.
During the months of June-August 2025, public transit agencies around the state of Colorado are joining together to take part in the collaborative, statewide Ozone Season Transit Grant initiative in partnership with the Colorado Energy Office. The Ozone Season Transit Grant program is designed to reduce ground level ozone by increasing use of public transit.
This year, agencies were also given the opportunity to choose to participate in the Youth Ride Free grant program, receiving grant funding to provide a year-long free fare program for youth.
We hope you enjoy taking advantage of the Zero Fare program to try transit to get to work, school, a Doctor’s appointment, or a weekend exploring Colorado.
