Multi – Modal Best Practices Study

October 15, 2018

A recently released Multi-Modal Transportation Best Practices Study commissioned by the Colorado Association of Ski Towns (CAST)  identifies the need to discover and better understand successful multi-modal transportation programs, services, technologies and infrastructure that could be replicated in mountain and resort communities.

Some of the solutions profiled include automated/autonomous shuttle technology, parking management, traffic monitoring, electric buses, and the use of smartphone technology to provide real-time transit information. CAST believes this study will be informative, insightful and helpful to resort municipalities and counties working to provide more efficient and sustainable transportation infrastructure and services to residents and visitors.
