Become a Trainer for CASTA

Welcome to the Become a Trainer for CASTA page.  Here you will find information about what types of training CASTA provides, as well as the form to become a CASTA Trainer who then provides these trainings at regional training events and our Spring and Fall Conferences. If you would like to be considered to become a Trainer for CASTA, please take the time to fill out the Become a Trainer for CASTA form.

Through conversations with national partners, state officials and local agencies, CASTA has identified 12 subject areas of critical competence for transit professionals. They are:

  • Operations/Management
  • Safety and Security
  • Coordination
  • Procurement, Asset Management and Maintenance
  • Human Resources
  • Transit Marketing
  • Finances and Funding
  • Training for Trainers
  • Transit Technology
  • ADA Regulations and Compliance
  • Regulations and Compliance
  • Leadership Development

Additionally, CASTA seeks to provide training for all levels of transit professionals, including those new to the industry, those in the mid-years of their careers, and those who have senior responsibilities and experience. CASTA welcomes trainers to submit their applications to provide training within these subject areas and at all of the various professional levels.
