Purpose of Position:
The Line Manager II acts as the Transit Planning and Service Coordination Manager for the Transit Bureau of the Transit and Rail Division. This position will oversee staff and the daily management of all aspects of contracted Department of Transportation Park and Ride regional/intercity bus service, will be the lead transit planner for the Bureau and administer transit planning funds to localities and Metropolitan Planning Organizations, provide technical assistance to Regional Transit District’s, and promote and coordinate alternative commute options (carpool/vanpool/rideshare).

This position is a Pay Band 70.

A Bachelor’s Degree in any field of study from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of professional level experience operating within limited parameters and guidelines directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling eight (8) years may substitute for the required education and experience. A hiring agency will designate a portion of the required experience to include supervisory and/or specialized experience. Any required licensure, certification or registration shall be defined at the time of recruitment and will be in addition to the above requirements.

Employment Requirements: 
Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver’s License. Reference check and Driver’s License verification are required and employment is conditional pending results.

Working Conditions:
Work is performed primarily in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer to include working with computers. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
